Notes on looking for Summer BSU --Blow Shit Up -- movies; "Heart of Stone" on Netflix, some insanely terrible Salma Hayek movie; hoping I don't end up the "Severance" outlier + other things!

I was looking for movies last week during an unrelated quest for cool new content when I came across a Salma Hayek movie trailer where A) she had a lot of guns and B) she was in her underwear. That’s clearly a winner, I thought then, although I now know rather definitively that I was unduly swayed by her butt. We all have weaknesses.

Fast forward a week and I was sure that I was going to watch Gal Gadot in “Heart of Stone” on Netflix because it was being promoted everywhere and it’s a definite Summer BSU movie. In fact, it’s even better because it’s a Badass Babes Summer BSU movie. Dudes in violent movies are boring, mostly, because their presence is egregious. Give me Charlize Theron in “Atomic Blonde” any day of the week. I love that film. I mean, between that and “Mad Max: Fury Road” I’m good.

Maybe it’s because I was coming off that “Kleo” high and wanted some more strong roles for women who also happen to blow shit up. So I watched “Heart of Stone,” starring Godot, Alia Bhatt and Jamie Dornan.
