I’m not a huge believer in the need to update everybody about where shit is, or where it’s not, as if what I do moves some cosmic needle for anyone, BUT, I only came to this newfound thing, this realization, about a year ago after a boat load of people told me, in a couple of old posts here, that they’ll read it when it comes out.
Simple.
Chill they said. Also, nobody has any time, which is the architectural backbone OF THIS ENTIRE SUBSTACK, so it’s not like folks are tapping their fingers waiting for the 46th of 300 Substacks to drop into their mail.
But the old crank-it-out journalist thing is hard to kill, especially when people are paying to read what you write. That said, I’ve been doing a pretty sweet job of it in recent times — learning to feel the Zen is not easy.
So, yeah, I’m watching stuff.
I need to watch more of all of these random things to have anything of value to say.
In the meantime as the whole world knows, I’m moving once again but this time in three directions. Everything has to be done by the end of February and ahahahahahahahahahahaha I’m losing my mind a little bit, but only when I focus on the logistics.
I’ve also been doing some off-books work (oooh, sounds like spy ops or something) and that’s taking a time toll.
Also I’m tired. Not gonna lie.
So yeah, nothing today. Maybe something on Sunday. Maybe there’s a hernia coming. Rotator cuff blow out. Nobody knows.
But mostly I just wanted to post a picture of Ole Munch, nee Oola Moonk and his wonderfully happy face yet again. Take a bite of happiness, people, you got through January.
We’re going to Get Shit Done. Everything is going to work out just fine. A man has a code.
A Man Is Grateful
I wish you well, Tim. You’re dealing with lots. I hope you feel better soon on most if not all fronts. And I still recommend you try watching MUM with the fantastic Lesley Manville and Peter Mullan and the rest of the cast. It’s still on Britbox I believe. Episodes are short but powerfully funny and sad and deep. My daughter (in her 40s) are both such fans.
