Apparently there's a glitch in the system.

A good friend’s renewal subscription just went through — at the old price of $60, instead of the new price of $50. And while this is profoundly annoying because it’s also difficult to get any help at Substack, until I can get this fixed here’s the workaround for those of you whose subscription is about to renew:
