Still Watching...
Thoughts on "Silo," "Alice In Borderland," no regrets for giving up on "Ted Lasso," how the end of "Succession" and "Barry" clears space and how to fill it.
Although my preferred rule about films is “the less you know going in the better,” I don’t really apply that to television as much. Oh sure, I’ll sometimes tell you not to watch the trailer because it usually spoils future episodes and reduces the dramatic tension of almost every character featured, but I’m talking about more extensive research. I do think the joy of the surprise impact is worth it for those who choose the route of least knowledge, but not always. I usually know a decent amount going in on every show, well beyond the trailer. . For “Silo,” the Apple TV+ series I’ve been loving, all I really knew was that my partner had read the books and she’s a sci-fi geek and there was no way to get around this. Watching was going to be mandatory.
