I haven't yet found the impetus to get started on "The Veil" but if you are looking for another TET, I heartily recommend "Blood Free", another Hulu Original. Not the fastest moving show around, but it definitely has the chops to keep me interested!

My WSOD had the same WTF moment. I'm not aware of any female ISIS members advancing beyond the rank of suicide bomber. But maybe I'm confusing ISIS with the Taliban. But I'm in. Partly because, sorry to beat a dead horse, my well's pretty dry.

I can't quite figure out who Elizabeth Moss is trying to be in this series. I think I caught a bit of dialogue where she references her inappropriate reactions - something akin to getting the giggles at a funeral. I guess it's a welcome departure from the clichéd dour MI6 agent.

She might be a splintered off (we will know soon) ISIS leader but that changes nothing. Hopefully the other parts will make us forget?

I used to quite enjoy Elisabeth Moss--loved Mad Men and Top of the Lake, but gave up on Handmaid's Tale because of all the lingering closeups of her face, which seemed mostly unnecessary. Does this show do that, or is it more about the story and less about her beautiful pale expressions?

I'm with you here -- great in MM and TOTL and, as noted when I bailed at the time, just couldn't get too far with Handmaid's Tale both for story and their over-reliance on her, as you say, "beautiful pale expressions." I think that's very accurate. But I think I tired of the plotting in that show before I tired of her, so I'm willing to try this. And....uh....well, there ARE close-ups (it's TV and that's the main shot), but not like Handmaid's Tale.

yeah, I had that vibe. She can be great and she can be something different, but she always seems worth a look. And as I watched the first two I was thinking, yeah, she knows how to do certain things in a way that makes you believe in her character. I'm interested in more because both actresses are good and they are playing people who are clearly lying to each other which makes everything suspect, even when it's true.

I was hoping this show would get a TET! I saw it on the top of the Hulu screen and thought I might want to add it to our watch list. Now I definitely will (sketch plot twists not withstanding!). Thanks :-)

It's funny, my disconnect (mostly on purpose) from when things drop or how long they've been out is so acute that this post I went out of my way to say, hey, look, only watched the two etc. etc. (and then I saw there have only BEEN two). So. yeah, let's sit back and see how this goes.
